Ten times the cost!

With Diwali on , the airline companies are making hay and charging ten times the cost of usual flights costs. This seems to be across all sectors in India.

Flight from Delhi to lucknow or kolkatta which usually costs around 3500, today costs 32k!
Now these are definitely things which the government should take cognisance of . However of that I am not too hopeful. Our government is more focussed right now trying to stay afloat of the corruption charges on it.

But let's expand on it more. The cost of candles which we would use for lightings on Diwali are more than the cost of buying electrical lights.

Today, I was trying to buy some candles and I found that 12 candles would cost me Rs 65 while a one single line of electrical light would cost me Rs 20. Even with the power consumption of an hour ( candles won't last more than that), I could buy three electoral lights ( Chinese makes) for the price of the candles.

I was quite surprised with my calculations and very very disappointed. I love lighting the candles post the Diwali puja but that doesn't seem to make any financial sense anymore.

Totally unrealistic !
