India NOT shining

India is definately not shining- Unfortunately.

If you look all around you and hear the news , there are scams and corruption everywhere. We have heard of the adarsh scam, CWG ( which hasn't moved at all) scam, tax details, the 2G scam, Mining scams- i mean the list is endless.

On top of this we have our environment minister who is putting stakes in expansion plans in almost every project that was sanctioned with a lot of fanfare a couple of years ago. Was he sleeping at that time? Did he not have an opinion at that time when these were announced?

All of this has seriously dented the confidence in the Indian Story. At present our growth rate was a healthy 8-9% even without the support of the government. Now , with the support of the government , it will go down.
Its a big sham and a big shame.

Our honourable prime minister and the leaders seem to have no control of the corruption in their government. It almost seems as if it is the last leg of this government.

Compared to the stellar growth in Gujarat and Bihar- where the Chief Ministers are pushing the growth agenda very hard over the last few years-our central government is busy filling in individual coffers of their own.

I would suggest we start looking at opportunities outside of India to make investments- where the governments are more accountable.

Happy investing.
