Over the past decade things have changed faster than ever before, with the advent of computers, changing in technology which drives mobility, just things which look sexy.
However, change is not only being brought about by the advent of new technologies, some of the old world products will drive changes a lot faster and drastically change our lifestyles.
I am talking about resources. Resources like oil and water and food.
With the growing population of the world, we are unable to generator conserve enough of these resources .
Let's take how the prices of fuel have really changed the way live and eat - mostly for the middle class population in the third world countries.
Today inflation and fuel prices are the most common topics on dining tables or gatherings. Discussed by working men or women or by housewife alike.
The high prices are forcing people to shop less, travel outside less and ear outside less . Once you could get a dinner and a nice movies for three people easily in 1000 rs . Today, that will be anywhere from 1500 to 1750 in the same restaurants.
Car sales have dropped. People, including me are thinking of buying a bike to save on fuel costs.
Imagine , it costs more to travel within India than to travel Abroad to any of the south eastern countries. Either those countries are losing money or something in India has gone wrong.
As we move forward , these high prices will change the way some of the services and products are being sold. Homes nearer to office will make more sense than the ones being farther away. Already we can see advertisements for houses which talk about " walk to offices".
Look around . Find the trends. Be ahead of the curve.
Happy investing
