You are charged to take out money from your bank

My last post was on using the Atm of non home banks and what you can take out without charges.

This one is more focused on home branch of your bank.
There are certain facilities that one gets while banking and using the home branch.
One important example is taking out cash. In a non home branch in hdfc bank one can take out cash unto 50,000 rs free of charge, but beyond that they will charge you a service charge of 2.9 rs per thousand on the entire amount.

So as an example if you take out 60k from a non home branch, you will need to shell out 179 rs as service charges.

So, if you are planning to take out large sums of money- go to your home branch!

This may vary by banks- but pls check for your specific bank on what their charges are.

Interesting investing.
