One of the very good ways of checkibg how good the hotel is or what all to see in a particular place is tripadvisor.in
Its a cool site, with feedback posted quite.recently.
When you are evaluating the hotel look for the following
1. How many posts has the person already made - this will give you an idea about the genuineness of the person. One can also mail the person, but usually I have never gotten a response back
2. Look for the more recent stays- that gives you a better picture
All in all , a greag way to be forearmed for your travels
