If all the latest advertisements on television are to be believed if you are not on the net you are really not doing anything in life .

Using the net one can have lots of friends ( airtel new advertisement ) or you can be extremely popular ( Mts) and successfull.

We all should understand that these are thr ways that marketers make "wants into needs".

The marketers and creative designers have gotten a stronghold into peoples psyche - including mine. They create a phenonmenon which makes life seem so dull if you dont have the stuff that they are selling! I know- i have started being attracted to things which i consider luxury or superfluous items.

Lets look at the usage of internet.. I mean do i really need 3 g- when i can get the same stuff in a 2g, albeit a little slowly?

Its peer pressure which drives us to this. I polled a few of my senior collegues in office on them using 3G vs 2G, and 90% of them use even today 2G, because its not really required!

Why do you want to spend so much more on 3G - 2x ! When 2Gwill do , use 2G.

Even mobile companies continue to focus on new additions to their list of hundreds of phones, each with a different feature..

I mean samsung sIII , it sleeps when you do.... Whats so great about that?? Every phone automtically shuts off after a period of time- still, people spend 35000rs on a phone vs buying gold which is an asset.

Lets get simple, when an advertisement like this comes, enjoy the creativity, dont buy the stuff!
