Employee provident fund is now online

Recent,y the epfo organization launched its e passbook facility which will enable people to check their provident fund accountd online.

This is a big achievement with 12% of basic being contributed monthly by employees and only once a year statement coming through. The epfo forms a significant part of savings of the employed and when people move jobs , pf transfers always became a huge problem.

With the advent of the online passbook , this will be make life so much easier for people.

I tried this for self and though i could not get the online passbook , i found out the update for march 2011 and they would send me the info via sms.

I still think that there is a link out there in a beta version for the online passbook... I will krep searching for this and will let everyone know.
