Mahindra holidays

I spent an hour going through the mahindra plan last week.

I got a call about two weeks back from mahindra holidays to come and visit them for a plan and spend around an hour with them

Here is what they told me was the difference across other plans

1. All the properties are five star properties.. with them or even with rci ( their international partner)
2. They claim that only members are allowed in their properties ( not too sure about this though, have heard too many stories about people claiming differently)
3. The cost of holidays is very low, even with their partners.. eg a 7 day holiday with jaypee hotel in Agra will be around 8000 Rs.
4. One gets seven days holidays and you can always choose to break it up into two if you want
5. 44 resorts are available in india

The cons
1. The effort it takes to book is quite intense.  Planning needs to happen multiple months in advance ( me I am always the last minute planner )

2. The holiday costs don't really include the travel cost. I am going to do a little due diligence on what holiday packages from travel agents actually cost .

3. When you are traveling outside one doesn't really stay in five star properties. But hey that's actually a positive if one can stay in a five star property outside of India

Now here are something's that I am evaluating .. the pros and the cons above.

Its an interesting concept and actually decent
While attending the meeting they have given me a two day three night holiday free.. so am going to give this a more thought once I come back from that holiday.

If I do buy this,  it will force me to take a holiday .. one which I desperately require.
