Now these are applicable from first of April 2013. These are applicable for all cheque books.. let them be Indian or NRI.
If you have given any post dated cheques for rent or for any emi related cheques, so you would need to give those back again.
Now there are certain further rules on these cheques. Some of the banks were a little forward looking and had brought in these changes before itself.
