So many of these payment apps are present in the indian market today its amazing. All of them vie for your wallet and your business.

How many you ask... lets list out a few..

1. Paytm

3.payzapp ( hdfc bank)
4. Freecharge
5. Jio money
6. Airtel money
7. Vodafone wallet ( forgetting the name)
8.whatsapp
9. Google pay
10 easyday wallet
11 big bazaar and it has a few more
12. Amazon wallet

So many of them its difficult for one to remember.

These wallets have all mushroomed over the last few years.

All of them have some of your money in them. You believe you need all of them

Most of them have some money in them... all sitting there until you use them... maybe never.

These wallets need to be controlled just as you control the number of bank accounts. Just like we say dont keep money idle, dont keep money idle in wallet apps.

Apart from the issue of money being idle, there is also the issue of management of these wallets and kyc rules ( which you cannot memorize) - i have been fighting for my kyc on airtel pay for the last one month!!  ( 10 emails and copy paste responses from airtel pay)

Choose your wallet carefully.. keep only a few.. two or three at most at any point of time.
