A Health Card for every Indian

What an Idea to create a universal Health Card for all Indians! Where all info of medicines taken and documents and doctor visits can be available at an instant. 

This idea is not new.. this is not an innovation created by PM Narendra Modi.  The US health care companies have been pushing for the IHR for quite many years and haven't been able to make significant progress becsuse of " competive advantage " issues across many hospitals and health care insurance companies. Many companies fear that this will make their knowledge of the patient... or the fact that the patient knows that their hospital and insurance companies knows about them .. and hence can provide better service redundant.It is an uphill battle in the US... even though companies like the United Health Group has been pushing the agenda significantly . The IHR can significantly reduce healthcare costs in the US.

In India the fact that this competitive "Disadvantage" doesnt exist is a big Advantage. The Government can put policies in place and push this over the next few years... have all payment made available and while brining all info in one place can also curb tax gaps from hospitals and doctors. 

The government has an execution mindset.. sharp focus let it be on the Jan Dhan account, the gas for villages , electricity for every person, toilets etc. 

If we achieve this.. in the right manner.. this would be a game changer for the people in India. Will be looking forward very carefully on this topic developing over the next few months.
