Lots of mobiles but no place to charge

Am at the fortis Escorts hospital in delhi for the last two days. It's always tough when you are in a personal emergency but usually hospitals do a great job to ensure you are "enabled" so that you can focus on your personal issue vs fringe activities.

Now the hospital is great,  and it just enthuses confidence but one place it needs to change is to really embrace changing technologies.

One key pointer to this is lack of places where one can charge their mobile phones. I mean every nook and corner shop those stands which have multiple charging points and charger... but not even one at this hospital.

When phones have become so critical to us and even more so when in an emergency that you have to come to a heart hospital.. that not finding a place and plug points where you can charge your phone is frustrating.

I was on the phone trying to get my tpa to get the cashless facility ( that's another post) but with my phone conking off ever so often.

Becoming redundant- staying relevant

Recently I read about the fact that kodak had become bankrupt.. A company which started the entire line of products on photography.

Camera rolls were called kodak .. Even if it was from another manufacturer. like xerox became a generic name for photostat.

Today, as I had written before and keep telling my friends and team - we need to stay relevant to the market.
Digital camera companies are fighting to stay alive because of the changing usage of mobile phones - almost every one of them has a camera. One can hardly see people with cameras on holidays or traveling - people just use their mobiles.
Here is a snap of the number of people who are using their mobiles to take a photo in a mall.

Catch the trend, understand the relevance and change yourself to be relevant!!
