A couple of weeks back i was speaking to a collegue of mine and he was telling me how he had taken Airtel to consumer court and the court has ordered airtel to pay him 75,000 Rs for damages.
The issue was that airtel sent him a legal notice even though he had made all payments.-- and he took it to heart- Rightly so.
Mostly we just shut up and bear with the bad service of the companies- We will rant, shout a little-- but do nothing about it except talk a little.
However what this does is that it creates issues for other consumers and emboldens the companies against no actions being taken against them.
we should be more proactive-- and take some of these actions to the consumer court.
The procedures are not too difficult and quite simple.

So true..Being aware and knowing when and where to speak is a part of being responsible towards oneself and others. Taking the right action helps in checking the unnecessary harassment by service providers.
