What is it with these mrp's. They are mostly looked at with disdain by sellers.
Grocers and pharmacist use them in the way which impacts them positively.
When one goes to a hotel for food, the cost of a bottle of mineral water costs me 125 rs vs the mrp of 12 rs. There the hotel doesn't even flinch a little when on the bottle it says 12 rs since they say that in their menu card they have given the price which they are charging - 125.
If we are in a monument , or in a sight seeing place, for a rs 5 orange bar , he asks me for rs 10 or for a bottle of coke he charges rs 35 vs ra 25 . Reason cited- we have to pay rent in such a place.
Now let's look at it the other way. Has a pharmacy ever given you medicines at a price lower than mrp? Here there is no question of discount. Do you know that they on an average make 35 - 50% on every product that they sell?
No? You better know it and ask for a discount! Or go to a shop that will give it!
Sometimes we feel shy of asking for a little discount, thinking it is only a few bucks. But it is these bucks that start making a big difference in the money you save.
The small bucks count and add up.
Stop accepting and paying for more than mrp - start asking for less than mrp!
Be smart
