Checking your EPF statement online

Finally!! The government of India has put up all employee provident fund accounts online and it is updated till march 2014.

Amazing isnt it. Epf accounts were always such a big problem in getting and one was lucky to get a statement once a year.

Now with the click of few buttons, one can get updated status on your mobile through sms or get the entire statement on your email.

So what do you need to enable this .

1. A phone number- mobile- this is required to register yourself on the site
2. Your epf account number... So search out your previous statements and have this handy. You will be required to enter this multiple times.. So learn from my experience, copy it on a piece of paper and have it handy.


We give almost 24% of our basic to this account every month... 12% is the employee contribution and 12% the employers. With such a large amount going into EPF and tax free interest being received... Having this statement is of paramount importance.


So go Ahead ... Go the epf website and get your statement..and keep it updated.. At least once in six months...
