Taking two separate health policies

Health insurance is a critical protection that is a must for all families. The cost of healthcare seems to be going up exponentially.

A simple procedure could become really costly because of the way hospitals and their workers are incented in india.

Yesterday while browsing channels at 1 am, I ( as usual) got to the CNBC awaaz channel. There was a conversation about a person having multiple healthcare policies from different providers and that conversation opened my eyes a little bit and I thought I must share with my readers ( hope there are readers :))

If say you have two policies of 2 l each by different providers.. when you need to use them in a hospitalization .. actually you need to apply to both the providers for an equal amount. So two applications will be required.. followup's to two providers and two times the trouble

The solution according to them was to have only one provider so that these issues don't arise.

The same situation is not a problem for life insurance .. and both policies will add up.

Being aware is simplefinancialsense.
