HDFC bank... making profits but not delivering services

HDFC bank has been the stalwart of the Indian banking industry.. the forefront of customer service and pioneer in many ways .. digital or non digital

However over the last few months i have noticed that the service levels have really been tested and it has come out worse for wear.

The biggest test has been the demonitization that was announced on the 8 of Nov.  When banks were trying to ensure clear services and had their ATM available for everyone , HDFC went out of its way to stop mostly it's ATM services and not allow non hdfc banking customers access to funds coming through it. Others like SBI, AXIS, icici were all servicing for the good .

Even today most HDFC ATMs even at the bank branches are not working .

Recently HDFC has announced the increase in charges for cash transactions.... all in the steps of making it more digital... but again.. these are all more focused on getting more funds from clients vs really making the world and the country more digital.

This focus on pure profitably vs trying to help manage the priorities of the country is what is making a negative impact on its core values.

This is a difficult area.. with the best and brightest of the banking world with this bank..

Hopefully the bank is listening to this post and changes it's style.. else this downfall in values will lead to erosion soon of a bank that frankly is the stalwart of the industry
