With the impact of covid on jobs and the fact that lots of people are working from home, many of the tenants are moving back to their houses in their hometown.
In my society itself in my block there at 8 to 10 flats which have all been emptied in the last 1 month. The impact of the blockades between delhi and NCR also hasnt allowed new tenants to move from delhi to the suburbs.
These have also caused rentals to go down.. forget about the 10% increase in the rentals. ... though my landlord did not agree and wanted his 10%... which i gave. Him being a senior it would impact his earning income.
This is tough on the passive income streams for many people, especially retired seniors.
For others the banks haven't reduced the emi interest rates by anything appreciable and other income channels have impacted salaries.
Its a vicious circle.
Time to be careful about ones money... thats simplefinancialsense
